Summary: San Francisco Bay area technology startup company is hiring a materials scientist / engineer.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Hire will lead the measurement and characterization of thermoelectric materials.
- Hire will participate with the team in the production of thermoelectric materials.
- Hire will participate with the team in the development of thermoelectric devices and systems.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the field of thermoelectric materials or similar materials development and characterization.
- Minimum of a Masters degree in a relevant field, including materials science, electrical engineering, physics.
- Experience in measurement of thermoelectric properties of materials used for power generation devices. Measurements include Seebeck coefficient, thermal conductivity and electrical resistivity.
- Knowledge of fabrication methods employed to create common thermoelectric material classes as well as methods for system level fabrication.
- Experimental apparatus development including electrical and mechanical fixture fabrication
- Highly organized and demonstrating the ability to work with a sense of urgency
Location:
San Francisco Bay Area, California
Compensation is based on experience.
