[b]Thermal Applications Engineer[/b]
Provides technical support for our thermoelectric modules to our US customers and sales force. Analyzes customer design specifications and proposals to determine feasibility and recommend solutions. Effectively communicates customer requirements with our engineering and manufacturing divisions overseas, and works closely with our overseas divisions to ensure that our products meet customer requirements. Develops innovative solutions to customer problems or market needs. Provides technical input to aid in the evaluation of new market opportunities. Develops and conducts training programs for sales personnel. Drafts technical papers to support new application requirements. Assists with field service, troubleshooting, and technical support services (as needed). Prepares CAD drawings (as needed). Up to 20% travel may be required.
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred). 5+ years experience with thermoelectric modules and thermal systems. A strong understanding of thermoelectric principals, thermodynamics, and heat transfer. A good understanding of Electrical/Electronic systems (controllers, power supplies, sensors, etc.). Hands-on experience with thermal lab equipment and data acquisition systems. Proficient with PC and Windows Operating system, Microsoft Office, Advanced MS Excel, AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor, Labview, and MathCAD.
