Hi In many articles I read the authors ask to substract the absolute seebeck coeff of Pt when giving the final value. I would like to know what is the value of this and how is it measured. thanks
Reference 12 in Chapter 32 of the CRC Handbook os Thermoelectrics (ed. D.M. Rowe) is what you're looking for:
Cusack, N. and Kendall, P., The absolute scale of thermoelectric power at high temperature, Proc. Phys. Soc., 72, 898, 1958.
To save you the trouble of looking: S_Pt (300K) ~5microV/K.
