Post-doctoral position thermoelectric measurements - Nancy

A post-doctoral position is available in the Laboratoire de Physique des Matériaux (L.P.M.), Ecole des Mines, Nancy (France) in the area of thermoelectricity. The position will involve the transport property measurements (electrical and thermal) of thermoelectric materials in both bulk and thin film form, and the participation to the development of a new experimental set-up for Seebeck measurements at high temperatures.

Applicants should have a recent Ph-D in materials science, chemistry or physics. Experience with transport measurements is highly desirable. Knowledge in automating measurement will be a plus.

The appointment is for one year, monthly salary is around 12000FF.
The closing date for application is end of November 2001.

Interested applicants should submit curriculum vitae and two letters of recommendation to

Re Post-doctoral position thermoelectric measure

Dear Dr. Bertrand Lenoir

I am writing to you in hope of obtaining the postdoctoral position in your group.

I am a Ph.D in Department of Physics of Universidad Nacional de Colombia and I was graduated in 1999.I have studied on preparation and transport properties in several materials (superconductors, semiconductors). I have 8 years of experience in measurement of thermoelectric power, electrical and thermal conductivity , Hall effect. Currently I am begin to reseach some thermoelectric materials"

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely yours,

Re Post-doctoral position thermoelectric measure

Dear Dr. Bertrand Lenoir

I am writing to you in hope of obtaining the postdoctoral position in your group.

I am a Ph.D (Chemist specialised in Materials Science) in Department of Semiconductor Materials of National Institute for R&D in Materials Physics, Bucharest, Romania and I was graduated in March 2001( Thesis "Electrochemical deposition of BiSbTe and PbSeTe thermoelectric materials). I have good expertise (20 years) in preparation and transport properties measurements of several other semiconductor, metalic and dielectric materials bulk and thin films. Currently I am trying to develop reseach in Non Steady State Thermoelectric measurements with some interesting results. I have good knowledge in automating measurements. I am so a good French speaker.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely yours,

Dr. Marin Necelcu
