Post-doctoral position Nanoscale Exploratory Research in thermoelectrics

A post-doctoral position in the area of thermoelectricity is available immediately in the Nanoscale Thermoelectrics and Energy Conversion Laboratory (nanotec.meche.rpi.edu) within the Mechanical, Aerospace and Nuclear Engineering Department at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. The position involves electrical and thermal transport characterization of nanostructures (thin films and nanowires), and microfabrication and testing of thermoelectric devices. Applicants should have a Ph-D in physics, materials science, chemistry, or mechanical engineering. Previous experience with growth of nanostructured materials, transport measurements, and microfabrication technologies is highly desirable.

The initial appointment is for one year. The position will remain open until filled.

Interested applicants should submit curriculum vitae (preferably be e-mail) to the following address

Re Post-doctoral position Nanoscale Exploratory

Dear Dr. Theodorian Borca-Tasciuc,

I have submitted my PhD thesis to Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India and expecting the degree by end September 2003. I am keenly interested in a Post-doc position in the field of thermoelectric characterization. In fact, very recently I have set up a facility in our lab for such measurements (this can go upto 1200 deg Celcius). Enclosed please find my CV alongwith list of publications and summary of PhD.

Your reply is awaited,

with warm regards,

Deep Prakash
