Has anyone purchased doped materials from Russia? I have seen a Russian supplier (www.girmet.com) offer doped Bismuth Telluride with high Z values > 3.2. Does anyone have any experience with this company? Are there any other suppliers who provide processed materials? Thanks! Mike

I have actually contacted
I have actually contacted 5nplus, here was their reply:
Dear Sir,
Thank you for your inquiry. Actually we do not show this on our Website because we are not producing this at the moment. We developed an extrusion technology which is being used at the moment at the University - Montreal Polytechnique for related research. They produce small quantities of the material that they can sell.
We do not plan to put this in production in the near future. I suggest you contact them.
Thanks for the links though.. I'll let you know which one I choose!
Mike
Mike, That's
Mike,
That's interesting. Usually the profit in a business like this is in adding value, by making modules or end products. So there aren't many options for just the materials. Still, from time to time you hear of suppliers.
5N Plus says the are making some, but I've heard they weren't actually selling the TE alloys anymore. They are the only ones I can think of off hand in the west. Their website still says they do though, so you might try contacting them:

There are several possilities in Russia and Ukraine: Thermion, Institute of Thermoelectricity, Nord, Kryotherm. Search in ZTlinks for 'Russia', 'Ukraine' and you''ll find several more. Waddya know: girmet.com is listed as a Bi2Te3 supplier! Search in ZTlinks for 'bismuth' and you'll also find Shanghai TOKA.
Best of luck.

I'm not familiar with them and I could not find Bismuth Telluride on their website. Do you have a link for their Bismuth Telluride material?

I didn't see it on their
I didn't see it on their website either. I sent them an email asking if they sold it and they replied back saying they do. I just sent them another email asking if it is listed on their website. Here is what the email said:
We would like to offer p-type and n-type doped Bismuth Telluride
ingots, dia 20-22mm x 60mm long, 120 - 180g each, with high Z > 3.2:
FCA Moscow
Shipping method: UPS
Included was a price in the quote for 1kg of each. Do you know of any other suppliers? I am only looking for a small quantity for now (ideally 100 grams of each).
