Up to four International Thermoelectric Society (ITS) Board Director positions will be open for election at the 28h International Conference on Thermoelectrics, to be held in Freiburg, Germany, July 26-30, 2009.

ICT2009 Attendees are encouraged to familiarize themselves in advance with the candidates.

Six nominees have agreed to stand for election to the ITS Board in 2009:

Nearly 400 abstracts from 38 different countries have been submitted to ICT/ECT2009. Now would be a good time to register and make travel plans. Regular updates on http://www.ict2009.its.org/deadlines.

Effective December 31, 2009 I will be stepping down as Webmaster for the International Thermoelectric Society.  The Society is currently looking at options to replace me.

Dear Colleagues,  Thermoelectricians,

It is still 2008, but the International and European Conference on Thermoelectric 2009 is only about half a year ahead.

So on behalf of the Organizing Committee it is my privilege to invite you to attend the 28th International Conference on Thermoelectrics in Freiburg, Germany. The conference will be held together with the 7th European Conference on Thermoelectrics.

Abstracts may be submitted here, now through March 1, 2009.

After considering several excellent locations the ITS Board has selected a proposal from Shanghai, China to host the annual International Conference on Thermoelectrics there in 2010.  Dr. Lidong Chen will be conference chairman:
