Dear prospective Conference Organizer, The 2008 International Conference on Thermoelectrics (ICT2008) will be held in Corvalis, Oregon USA August 3-7, 2008. Abstract deadline has been exteded to April 15, 2008. Lee, chairmain of ICT2007 held last summer on Jeju Island, Korea, that the Proceedings of ICT2007 would be published 'next week'. That was 5-6 weeks ago. I can not at present confirm if it has actually been printed or mailed. For those who (like me) missed ICT2007, we now have a webpage where you may order a copy for US$120. Payment must be made by wire transfer, and be sure in include any fees your bank may take out of the amount so that the ICT2007 organizers don't come up short. Dr. Thierry Caillat of NASA/CalTech's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, California has been elected Vice President and President Elect of the International Thermoelectric Society at the recent ICT2007 Board Meeting held June 3-7, 2007 in Jeju Island, Korea. Dr. Caillat will be the fourth person from JPL to serve as ITS President. As provided by the ITS Constitution, Dr. The European Thermoelectric Society plans to host the 2009 European Conference on Thermoelectrics, ECT2009, at the same place and in combination with the 2009 International Conference on Thermoelectrics, ICT2009.
